Tasha Jones-Gilchrist, LCMHCA
Psychotherapist
I am a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor Associate in the state of North Carolina. I graduated from Norfolk State University with a Bachelors in Child and Family Studies, obtained a Masters in General Psychology and a Masters in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Capella University.
I am devoted and have a passion to support individuals with achieving good mental health that leads to hopefulness, confidence and a general satisfaction with life. I have been working in the mental/behavioral health field for over twenty years in several supportive environments providing supports to children, adolescents and adults, highlighting their strengths, enhancing their critical thinking skills, self-advocacy, and goal development abilities, while taking a person-centered approach. I follow the belief that establishing rapport is paramount and that each person is unique with different life expectations. My main goal is to assist individuals in reaching their goals by providing non-judgmental support and helping to facilitate their personal journey.
