Sophia Ceravalo, LCMHCA
Psychotherapist
I am a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor Associate in the state of North Carolina and a Licensed Professional Counselor Associate in South Carolina. I completed my Bachelor's degree at Elon University, then going on to receive my Master's in counseling and development from Winthrop University in May 2024. I have experience working with clients on issues with depression, anxiety, and challenges within relationships, and I have worked with clients ranging from children to older adults. I also have worked with neurodivergent clients and LGBTQ+ clients.
I consider myself an eclectic counselor, making use of Cognitive Behavior Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and mindfulness techniques. But I also know that every client brings with them their own thoughts and experiences, and I meet my client where they are in order to best provide them with a supportive therapeutic environment. I follow a person-centered approach, customizing my approach to treatment to each client and working to build a strong therapeutic rapport in order to best promote growth through the counseling process.
Your wellbeing as my client is of the highest importance to me, and if you are looking for a covid conscious counselor, I would be happy to work with you in an environment where you'd be able to feel comfortable.
