Rachael Luscombe, LCSWA

Psychotherapist

My name is Rachael, and I would be honored to be a part of your life’s journey.

I received a masters degree from Fordham University’s Graduate School of Social Services in 2006, specializing in children and their families. Since that time I have worked extensively with at-risk youth in both residential treatment facilities and therapeutic day program settings, as a school social worker, and in the foster care system. I also have knowledge and experience working with adults on an individual basis who are displaying symptoms of or are diagnosed with depression, anxiety, trauma disorders, and attention deficit disorders, among other diagnoses.

In addition, I have a great passion for working with and empowering children and families who are or have been affected in some capacity by alcohol and/or drug addictions.

My therapeutic style is strengths based and solution focused, providing a safe and non-judgmental environment for children, teenagers, and adults alike.

I understand that beginning therapy can sometimes feel overwhelming or uncomfortable, but I strive to provide a warm, caring, and down to earth atmosphere. I truly enjoy helping people set goals, solve problems and create positive change in their lives; I look forward to working with you.

Office Location: Waxhaw

Fun Fact: I was a child actor.
