Irma Gutierrez, LCSWA
Psychotherapist
As a bilingual therapist, I am deeply passionate about advocating for individuals and supporting them through the challenges that cross our paths. I received my Master’s degree in Social Work from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte (UNCC) and have a lifelong connection to the Charlotte community. It is my pleasure to work with diverse populations and believe that it serves as a learning experience for us both. I have experience working with children, adolescents, and adults, helping my clients to navigate trauma, depression, anxiety, grief, loss, and stress. My approach is rooted in a belief that each individual is the expert of their own story, and I strive to create a space where clients can share their perspectives openly and without judgment.
I take pride in my ability to connect with clients from diverse backgrounds, offering a compassionate and safe environment. Drawing from evidence-based therapeutic approaches such as Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Solution-Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT), mindfulness-based techniques, strength-based therapy, and Motivational Interviewing. Through collaborative work with my clients, I support them on their journey of gaining insight, healing, and developing the skills needed to lead fulfilling lives. Whether you are dealing with loss, stress, or other life challenges, I am committed to supporting you every step of the way.
